Scarf Day and other classes invited to our xmas functions
Now this was hilarious. Joy was a treat all clad out in a washer womans outfit. She even came with a change of apron. I dressed as a pirate and everybody came with a scarf on. It was a very happy day.
Then the next week we played a trick on Annie and told her it was scarf day and she turned up in a beautiful long blonde wig and pink scarf in her hair. So she had scarf day by herself and played up all by herself and we all had a wonderful time at her expense. Great day. Then Annie went out for lunch with us in town still wearing her wig. No one in town blinked an eye at her.
Xmas Functions
If any other classes want to attend our xmas do's just give me a call. We would love to see you at our classes.
lovely lunch at Old Church Restaurant
We had a lovely lunch at the Old Church Restaurant. The company was excellent. We had such a special time getting to know each other.
The food was great. The service was great. The food was on time. The food presentation was exceptional and the decor and surroundings made us feel special. We were all dressed up and decided we needed to do that more often.
Dancing was funny. We had skirt day and Wi, David and Pete all were a skirt too (as it was skirt day). Wi played the part and had a wonderful time. Very funny. We had visitors from Friday class, Annette, Margaret and Joan Ayre. Aileen Lucy also came over for lunch.

Havelock North Intermediate line dancing

Joy and I went to Havelock North Intermediate on Thursday afternoon. We have been going for 9 years. Once a year they have an elective for line dancing (only year 8 because there are too many kids for the whole school to do it). Each house practises a couple of dances to compete against each other. Joy and I go in to judge the competition. This year they had no teacher input and they were allowed to make two dances into their own new dance. We judged it on originality and effort and overall look.
Joy and I get to sit up the front like NZ idol judges. We get introduced to the whole school (you know we take a bow, yeah right). Then we are so professional and pick a winner and take anaother bow (yeah right)
The kids are so enthusiastic about the dancing, Joy and I love to see it.
This year we were presented with a bottle of wine and petrol vouchers. We were very grateful and had so much fun.

Great week of dancing

Well, it must be the break after Labour weekend that has made the classes this week alot of fun.
Wednesday was an excellent class. But it always is. We are really getting to know each other better. We will know each other more when we wear name tags. Its funny how you can talk to someone every week and not no their name. (its awful really) Anyway, we have an awesome class on Wednesdays.
Todays class (Friday) was back to normal. We had that discussion during class (that we are possibly not normal) and that is why the class was so much fun. But me, mum and Emily (my daughter) wonder why we are different from others and we have always thought it was because no one else in this world is normal. But if there are only 3 of us like this, it could be the other way round (I could also be from Irish decent).
Anyway we had an impromptu Halloween class. I took hats and headgear for all who wanted to wear them (on their heads?!) you will have to ask Joy and Annie about that. But it was hilarious and actually put everyone off dancing. I have never seen Gail doubled in half laughing. It was just what we all needed today. thanks to everyone. It made my day, my week. I was sought of wondering about what was happening to the Friday class. Thanks again guys.

Funny classes
Hi Annie,
Sometimes I don't think that anyone gets my humour. The worst thing about it is I think sometimes its a bit odd. But then its too late anyway I've already said something and not thought about what I was going to say. It's great to have someone in the class who thinks I'm not quite normal 'cos it means you may not be too. (read Annies comment a couple of blogs below)

Pizza lunch at Mary's in Taradale
Thanks for a very enjoyable lunch Mary, from all of us. We had delicious pizzas with the dough made by Mary. Then each of us rolled out our own base and Mary had heaps of different toppings for us to choose from. We piled our bases high. Graham (Marys husband, master chef) cooked our pizzas in his outdoor oven. Sooo fantastic. We had such a lovely time. Oh also made her special fruit flans (2). We had them with icecream. This kind of food is why we continue line dancing, so we can dance it off. We had a lovely relaxing time getting to know one another. Very nice!
Hey Margaret, maybe you could put a photo on this blog. Cheers

Variety makes the world go round

Thanks for your comments about dancing and the classes.
Each of my classes are special. They are all unique in their own way. The people who come to dance makes the difference because you are all so special.
What would we do without the variety of wonderful music and the different dance sequences that make us think so hard.
I LOVE IT!!!!
