Joy and I went to Havelock North Intermediate on Thursday afternoon. We have been going for 9 years. Once a year they have an elective for line dancing (only year 8 because there are too many kids for the whole school to do it). Each house practises a couple of dances to compete against each other. Joy and I go in to judge the competition. This year they had no teacher input and they were allowed to make two dances into their own new dance. We judged it on originality and effort and overall look.
Joy and I get to sit up the front like NZ idol judges. We get introduced to the whole school (you know we take a bow, yeah right). Then we are so professional and pick a winner and take anaother bow (yeah right)
The kids are so enthusiastic about the dancing, Joy and I love to see it.
This year we were presented with a bottle of wine and petrol vouchers. We were very grateful and had so much fun.
